![]() Another Trooper is coming down a ramp bridge, but before he can get across, an explosion sends him and the bridge down into the depths of the refinery. Use any methods to take them out, then move up. There are three Blue Suns Troopers in this area. You enter another room with a door open it and take cover on the other side. If you chose to go after Vido, then you will proceed through the door while an explosion is heard behind you. Head out the other door and down the catwalks. Grab the Heavy Weapon Ammo upgrade, then access the fire control systems to extinguish the fires. When you reach the other side, grab the refined palladium in the corner across from where the catwalk comes down, and go into the room. When you get to the upper level, an explosion will drop a flaming pipe on the floor in front of you, so head to the right and go across the catwalk to get around this obstacle. Some workers behind a glass wall tell you that the extinguishing system is upstairs and that the doors won’t open until the fires are out. There is a generator pipe after the second one in the corner, salvage it for 6,000 credits. The second is found once you walk over the large pipe on the left, easy to miss. The first is right next to the first set of stairs in the room. Move around and find the three fuel control stations to redirect the fuel. Once inside head up the stairs and open the next door. ![]() Move down the platform and head to a door which you have to bypass to enter. Shepard jumps down onto a lower platform and the worker looks relieved, or as best as you can tell from a distance. If you choose to save the facility then Shepard intimidates Zaeed, who agrees to help despite his rage at your refusal to aid in his revenge. Also, the Paragon path rewards more credits (see below for details). There will also be two unique upgrade rewards depending on your choice: a Heavy Weapon Ammo upgrade with the Paragon path, and an Assault Rifle Damage Upgrade along the Renegade route. The mission always concludes in the same location, but how you get there varies depending on your choice. Note that if the option to save the workers is taken, the player will need sufficient Paragon points to Charm Zaeed in order to secure his loyalty at the mission's climax this can be done easily after recruiting him, as long as you have concentrated on accumulating mainly Paragon points up to that point. Do not look for a Charm or Intimidate option-at this point, neither exists. Once you access the door a cutscene will play giving you two options with significant moral implications.Ĭhoose Your Path: You have to decide whether to save the facility workers and the facility itself, or go after Vido regardless of collateral damage. Head across the catwalks to the next area, but keep an eye to the right for some more refined palladium. There will be two Troopers advancing on the squad take them down (there a small easy-to-miss cover location on the right side of the room if you need it), and before leaving the area, find a crate of refined palladium near where Zaeed bashed the pipe. Choose your response to Zaeed's actions-which can include a Paragon interrupt to sock him for his recklessness-then proceed into the burning facility. Zaeed then breaks a valve setting off a chain reaction that starts to destroy the whole refinery. It turns out that the pipe was full of explosive gas the pipe explodes, injuring Vido and killing some of his men. His rounds hit a metal pipe near Vido, prompting Vido to ask if he is going nearsighted. Vido eventually goads Zaeed into firing as he goes for cover. ![]() Open the door to start a cutscene where Vido and some of his mercs are on an upper platform. Grab them then move up and access the nearby bridge controls to continue. Check the area for a PDA (6,000 credits) and a med kit. Once they are all down, you will hear a fall back order on the radio. Note that the final Heavy is the tougher helmetless variant that possesses Tech Armor, which she can use to fully replenish her shields once they get depleted. They include a Blue Suns Pyro, a FENRIS Mech, Blue Suns Troopers, and a Blue Suns Heavy. When all the initial enemies fall, move up and find some more cover as there will be more reinforcements coming in. Just be careful because there is a Heavy in the mix with a Missile Launcher on the elevated platform. ![]() Once you can’t engage the enemies from the entrance, move to the right avoiding the potential of getting flanked if you go left, and to a massive tree root which will provide some excellent cover. Staying behind the cover near the entrance to the clearing keeps the enemies from flanking you, and you can get a good line of sight on them. ![]()
